Decarbonisation of Heat in Existing Buildings

📍 Birmingham, Trigate Business Centre

🕐 Wednesday 18 June 2025 | 13:30 - 16:00

As the world races towards a net zero carbon future, the debate over the most effective and sustainable heating solutions intensifies. This discussion pits innovative bivalent hybrid heating systems, which combine renewable and conventional energy sources, against the ambitious net zero carbon agenda of an all-electric solution. Experts weigh in on the values, benefits, risks and potential challenges of each approach, aiming to uncover the best path forward to meet the 2035 and 2050 targets.

Which side of the debate will you find more compelling?

In a structured panel debate titled "Bivalent Hybrid Heating vs Full Electric Net Zero Carbon: The Ultimate Showdown for a Sustainable Future", leading consultants, specialists and client voices will examine the strengths and limitations of both strategies. Delegates will hear from experts including Ian Keeling of Cundall and Holly Dale of Greenwood Academies Trust, as they consider practical approaches to achieving 2035 and 2050 carbon targets.

Please note that spaces are very limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. We encourage you to register your interest as soon as possible to secure your place.
