Lucy Plumridge
Lucy is an associate director of HLM, university design tutor and president of Sheffield Society of Architects. Her work focusses on social, sustainable architecture that derives building forms from a detailed understanding of users and the wider community context.
Her award winning educational designs explore how architecture can support changing pedagogies through innovative, agile spaces that enhance the student experience for all ages. Recent projects that reflect this include a UTC for Sheffield that remodelled and extended historic cutlery workshops and new teaching and learning buildings for Sheffield Hallam University and Glasgow University that create social learning hubs to support wider campus facilities.
