Q1 – Please tell me about yourself and Chapmanbdsp.

Chapmanbdsp is an international consulting engineering firm that specialises in building services, engineering, environmental engineering, fire engineering and lighting design. Ian Duncombe is a Board Director at Chapmanbdsp and leads engineering teams on the design and delivery of UK and international projects.

Q2 - What will you be showcasing on your stand?

Chapmanbdsp will be showcasing 3 key themes this year regarding education, which are sustainability, health and well-being and smart technology. Although these could be perceived as separate themes, they are very much interrelated. In terms of sustainability, Chapmanbdsp understands the challenges involved in achieving net zero. Touching on both embodied and operational carbon, they will illustrate some of the processes and techniques they use on the trajectory towards zero carbon educational projects. 

Q3 - Tell me about some of the recent education-based projects Chapmanbdsp have been involved in

Over the last few years, Chapmanbdsp’s work has included The Marshall Building - LSE’s next major academic building, the Town House at Kingston University and the Music School for King's College School.
